PTFE Molded Rods
PTFE molded rods are manufactured using compression molding technique. The process involves selecting high-grade PTFE material, preheating, molding, and subjecting to the sintering process producing molded PTFE rods.
Ordinarily, it is virtually impossible to use a normal injection molding process to make PTFE molded rods since polytetrafluoroethylene material will “not flow”.
PTFE Teflon Molded Rods Supplier in China
Molding PTFE rods does not alter the inherent properties of polytetrafluoroethylene. The PTEF molded rods are:
- Thermal resistant with working temperature between -400 and +550°F
- Chemically inert
- Have non-stick property
- Offer better insulation
Depending on application requirements, you may choose virgin PTFE molded rods or filled PTFE molded rods.
Molded PTFE Rods Use
In most cases, the PTFE molded rods are machining stock where you process the PTFE rods further to make other parts. The parts may include gaskets, rollers, bearings, washers, seals, and machine parts.
