Black PTFE Sheet in Roll or Cut to Size
Naturally, virgin PTFE sheets are white. However, upon request, you can get a mechanical-grade black PTFEs sheet.
Although many PTFE manufacturers use various techniques to make Polytetrafluoroethylene sheets reinforcement or adding pigments remains a popular option. For example, reinforcing PTFE with fillers such as graphite or carbon gives it a black color.
For example, adding about 25% carbon filler in PTFE gives the sheet its black color. Additionally, it ensures the black PTFE sheet is:
- Dimensionally stable
- More resistant to creep
- Wear resistant
- Suitable for dynamic bearing applications
- Characterized with improved thermal conductivity
- Known for low permeability

Usually, the black color on the virgin PTFE sheets or mechanical PTF sheets does not affect the main properties.
Black Teflon has a high melting point, wide working temperature (-200°C to +260°C), excellent insulation properties, low coefficient of friction, chemically inert and hydrophobic properties.
