Teflon Encapsulated O-Rings
Also called PTFE encapsulated O-rings, Teflon encapsulation O-rings are special mechanical sealing or packing specially designed to blend exceptional chemical properties of 聚四氟乙烯 and superior elastomer compression properties.
The structure of Teflon encapsulation O-rings is such that the core is made of Viton or silicone. On the other hand, the jacket or coating is PTFE or 特氟龙.
In most cases, you can find Teflon encapsulated O-rings with either solid or hollow elastomer core.
Your Trusted Teflon Encapsulated O-rings
By combining these two high-performance materials, the Teflon encapsulated O-ring is known for:
- Good recovery properties after compression due to the elastomers
- Superior chemical resistance due to fluorine-carbon molecules in PTFE
- Low friction coefficient and non-sticky property due to PTFE material
- Exceptions sealing property due to both PTFE and elastomers
- Flexibility due to the elastomer
- Superior thermal properties due to PTFE and elastomer material
- A wide range of working temperature
- FDA and USP class VI compliant
Uses of Teflon Encapsulation O-rings
Generally, Teflon encapsulation O-ring offers better sealing, while minimizing or absorbing vibrations. Examples of applications include:
- Joints
- Cryogenic seals
- Heat exchanger systems
- Pumps
- 阀门系统
- Flanges, etc.
