Modified ptfe From Hansa
- Filler : glass fibers, carbon fibers, graphite, molybdenum disulfide, copper powder, ceramic particles, etc.
- Effects: Improved wear resistance, mechanical strength, thermal conductivity, or electrical conductivity.
- Applications: Bearings, piston rings, seals, guides, and other wear-resistant components.
- Type Of Goods: Sheet , Rod, Gakset ,Tube ,etc.
- Advantages: Retains PTFE’s corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance (-200°C to 260°C), and electrical insulation properties, while compensating for its mechanical deficiencies.
- Limitations: Certain modifications may reduce the chemical inertness of pure PTFE or increase costs.
Hansa Filled PTFE
When it comes to choosing these fluorocarbon-based polymers, also known as PTFE or Teflon (DuPont’s brand name) you can choose unfilled PTFE or filled PTFE. バージンPTFE does not containe filler material. It is because the material is made from 100% pure PolyTetraFluoroEthylene material.
Although virgin PTFE remains a versatile engineering material, certain applications may require unique performance requirements. Consequently, we have the filled PTFE.
PTFE filled products can be filled with glass fiber, carbon, bronze, graphite, and Mos2, the percent can be 10% 15% 20% 25% 40%, just as requested.
Filled glass fiber PTFE, could increase its hardness, wear resistance, and strength.
Filled carbon PTFE can improve mechanical properties, pressure resistance, wear resistance, and thermal conductivity . Including Self lubricating performance and a certain hardness. Some Piston rings and guide rings are filled with glass fiber and carbon together to increase their physical property.
PTFE filled glass fiber and Mos2 products are good selling products in our factory and can be made into tubes, rods, sleeves, and then machined according to drawings.PTFE filled 40% bronze is also very popular in Europe countries, we make filled bronze sheets, tubes, pipes, and so on.
How many Modified PTFE Products You Can Find From Hansa ?
The PTFE with fillers is available in many configurations such as:
Filled PTFE sheets : Skived sheet ,Molded Sheet, Regular size and Customized Size; 充填PTFEロッド : Molded Rods, Extruded Rods ,etc, Regular filler can be Glass fiber , bronze , carbon/graphite and so on ; Filled PTFE blocks : Customized Size ; Filled PTFE tubes : For different application fileds, we can offer the right products.
The copper powder proportion ranges from 10% to 60%, selected based on customers’ application requirements to enhance PTFE’s wear resistance, hardness, and thermal conductivity.
The filler proportion ranges from 10% to 25%, adjusted according to customer requirements, to improve creep resistance and enhance wear resistance .
The addition of carbon black or other black pigments enhances UV resistance, wear resistance, and anti-aging properties.
The filler content ranges from 5% to 40%, up to client requirements, to improve cold flow resistance, provide excellent thermal conductivity.

Designed for medical-grade or food-grade differentiation to distinguish between functional catheter types or fluid pathway configurations.
Carbon-Graphite Synergistic Performance to improve cold flow resistance, provide excellent thermal conductivity (heat dissipation)

White Virgin PTFE, Carbon-Filled Black, and Glass Fiber-Reinforced with Tri-Color Identification Rings – Customizable for Client Specifications
Key Advantages of Modified PTFE

Incorporation of glass fiber/carbon fiber improves compressive strength by 3-5x(pure PTFE is prone to “cold flow”).

Additives like graphite/molybdenum disulfidereduce wear rates to 1/1000 of pure PTFE.

Glass fiber or ceramic fillersincrease elastic modulus by 2-3x, suitable for precision mechanical components.

Exceptional chemical resistance(to strong acids, bases, and organic solvents).
Advantages and Limitations of Modified PTFE
Advantages: Retains PTFE’s corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance (-200°C to 260°C), and electrical insulation properties, while compensating for its mechanical deficiencies.
Limitations: Certain modifications may reduce the chemical inertness of pure PTFE or increase costs.
