polimero \u00e8 costituito da elementi di fluoro e carbonio mentre in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nylon_46\">Nylon<\/a>, contiene elementi come ossigeno, carbonio, idrogeno e azoto.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PTFE_vs_Nylon_Mechanical_Properties\"><\/span>PTFE vs Nylon: Propriet\u00e0 Meccaniche<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Le propriet\u00e0 meccaniche di questi due componenti sono descritte di seguito;<\/p>\n<p>Mentre la resistenza massima alla trazione del nylon \u00e8 di 12.400 psi, quella del PTFE \u00e8 compresa tra 1.450 e 6.240 psi.<\/p>\n<p>Il modulo di trazione del Teflon varia da 58 a 261 psi, mentre quello del nylon \u00e8 di 470.000 psi.<\/p>\n<p>Il Teflon ha un modulo di flessione compreso tra 72,5 e 102 ksi, mentre il nylon ha un modulo di 410.000 psi.<\/p>\n<p>Mentre il limite di snervamento alla compressione del nylon varia da 6 a 162 MPa, quello del PTFE varia da 10,5 a 27,6 MPa.<\/p>\n<p>Il PTFE ha una resistenza all&#039;impatto Izod pari a 3 ft-lb\/in, mentre il nylon ha una resistenza all&#039;impatto Izod pari a 1,2 ft-lb\/in.<\/p>\n<p>Mentre la durezza Rockwell R del nylon va da 100 a 120, quella del PTFE \u00e8 compresa tra 50 e 55.<\/p>\n<p>Il Teflon ha un allungamento a rottura pari a 6,6-300 %, mentre il nylon ha un allungamento a rottura pari a 5,0-120 %.<\/p>\n<h2><span confronti;<\/p>\n<p>Il coefficiente di dilatazione termica del Teflon \u00e8 151 x 10<sup>-6<\/sup> per\u00b0 C mentre il nylon varia da 90 a 95.<\/p>\n<p>Confrontando i loro punti di fusione, il Teflon ha un punto di fusione di 327 <sup>0<\/sup>C mentre il nylon ha un punto di fusione di 268 <sup>0<\/sup>C.<\/p>\n<p>Mentre il Teflon pu\u00f2 resistere a temperature che vanno da -175 \u00b0C a 260 \u00b0C, il nylon pu\u00f2 resistere a temperature comprese tra 4 e 86 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nylon_vs_PTFE_Price\"><\/span>Prezzo Nylon vs PTFE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I prezzi del Teflon sono pi\u00f9 alti rispetto a quelli del nylon.<\/p>\n<p>La differenza di prezzo \u00e8 dovuta al punto di fusione pi\u00f9 elevato del Teflon, che richiede energie maggiori rispetto alla temperatura di fusione facilmente raggiungibile del nylon.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" una migliore resistenza alla flessione e alla trazione e una resistenza all&#039;usura superiore, mentre il Teflon \u00e8 chimicamente inerte e non polare, il che rende difficile l&#039;adesione dei materiali.<\/p>\n<p>Altre differenze includono<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Water_Attraction\"><\/span>Attrazione acquatica<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Il Teflon \u00e8 apolare e ha una bassa affinit\u00e0 per l&#039;acqua, che lo rende idrorepellente, a differenza del nylon che ha una propensione ad attrarla. In questa situazione, il Teflon diventa idrofobo, mentre il nylon diventa idrofilo a causa della sua propensione ad attrarre acqua.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Chemical_Reactivity\"><\/span>Reattivit\u00e0 chimica<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I deboli legami tra carbonio e fluoro del Teflon gli impediscono di essere reattivo, mentre le resine del nylon sono stabili e lo rendono reattivo.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusione<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Il nylon \u00e8 un materiale inferiore al Teflon. Il Teflon pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato in ambienti con elevati livelli di umidit\u00e0 grazie alla sua natura idrofobica, che gli conferisce la capacit\u00e0 di respingere l&#039;acqua.
